Explore the Wonders of Kol-Suu Lake
Kol-Suu Lake is one of the most stunning and remote destinations in Kyrgyzstan. Located in the Naryn region near the Chinese border, it lies at an altitude of about 3,500 meters above sea level. Itinerary: Bishkek – Son-Kul – Kol-Suu – Naryn – Bishkek
Day 1: Bishkek – Son-Kul
The tour begins in the morning with travelers meeting their guide in Bishkek and setting off on the journey. Along the way, there is a planned stop for lunch at a cozy café in the town of Kochkor. After lunch, the route continues toward the high-altitude Son-Kul Lake. Upon arrival, travelers settle into a traditional yurt camp, enjoy scenic walks along the picturesque lakeshore, and immerse themselves in the nomadic culture. Dinner is served in the evening, followed by stargazing to end the day.
Day 2: Son-Kul – Kol-Suu
The morning starts with breakfast at the camp, after which the group departs for Kol-Suu Lake. The route offers breathtaking views of gorges and pastures along the way. If the border zone permit has not been arranged in advance, a stop is scheduled to obtain it. Lunch takes place in the city of Naryn, followed by a drive to Kol-Suu. By evening, the group arrives at the lakeside camp and settles into yurts. A short evening walk to the lake is possible, and if water levels permit, travelers can take a boat ride. The day concludes with dinner at the camp.
Day 3: Kol-Suu – Naryn
The morning begins with breakfast and a final walk near Kol-Suu Lake, offering opportunities for unique photographs. The group then heads back, stopping for lunch along the way. In the afternoon, travelers arrive in Naryn and settle into a guesthouse. The evening is free for rest or exploring the city. A traditional dinner featuring local cuisine wraps up the day.
Day 4: Naryn – Bishkek
After breakfast, the group departs for Bishkek. Along the way, stops are planned at Dolon Pass and Boom Gorge. In the village of Kochkor, travelers can visit craft workshops to purchase souvenirs and felt products. Lunch is scheduled at a café in Kochkor. By the end of the day, the group returns to Bishkek, marking the end of the tour.
