Leaving Karakol, you’ll drive through the picturesque Karkyra Valley, steeped in local legends and history. The journey continues with a stop at the San Tash historical complex, where you can marvel at the ancient stones of Tamerlane hero. After crossing the border, you’ll enter Kazakhstan and head towards the remarkable Charyn Canyon.

From Karakol to Alma-Ata trip

Day 1: Karakol to Saty Village
After breakfast, we journey towards the Karkyra Valley, known for its legendary stories. Our first stop is the San Tash historical complex, home to the stones of Tamerlane hero. After crossing the border, we continue to Saty Village, with the border crossing taking most of the day.

Day 2: Saty to Kaindy and Kolsai Lakes
We venture to the mystical Kaindy Lake, famous for its submerged forest of dead spruce trees rising above the water. After lunch, we head to the Kolsai Lakes, a beautiful system of reservoirs known as the "Kazakh Alps," where we’ll enjoy a leisurely walk and a boat ride at the Lower Kolsai Lake before returning to Saty for the night.

Day 3: Saty to Charyn Canyon and Almaty
On our final day, we explore the breathtaking Charyn Canyon, often compared to the Grand Canyon. This natural wonder features towering cliffs, ancient Sogdian ash trees, and stunning geological formations. After a scenic walk through the canyon, we head to Almaty, where our journey concludes.
